4 Steps to Healthy Skin

There are 4 things your skin needs in order to be healthy and look its best. They are cleansing, exfoliating, freshening and moisturizing.

Step 1 – Cleanser

You want a water-soluble, detergent-free, gentle and natural cleanser that is right for your skin type. The first ingredient should not be water but something natural with healing properties, like cold-processed aloe.

As you know, the first ingredient listed on any label indicates the item that the product contains the most of. So an otherwise good quality product will not be cost-effective, and will not last nearly as long as a product whose first ingredient is aloe.

Soaps are too harsh for our delicate facial skin.

Step 2 – Exfoliater, mask or peel

Not something you want to do every day, but maybe 2-3 times per week, depending on your skin and the strength of the product itself. Depending on your skin type, either a gentle scrub, mask or peel will do wonders for drawing out impurities and to remove the dead cells lying on the surface of our skin.

Step 3 – Freshener

Fresheners work to restore the natural pH balance of your skin, and to prepare your skin to absorb needed moisture.

Step 4 – Moisturizer

This is the final step in your skin care program.

It is so important to stick with one product line for all these steps. This is because an integrated product line is designed to work together for maximum results, and you simply cannot get the results you desire from mixing and matching a cleanser from one company with a freshener from another, and a moisturizer from yet another.

Have a great day!
